Involve Recruitment are in search for a Quantity Surveyor for our client a civil engineering, building works, design and build, building refurbishment and maintenance works construction outfit. Duties of this role will require general responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor carrying out detailed Groundworks take offs as well as an ability to perform physical measurements. Ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years experience in said position. Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Analyse and evaluate contractor bids and proposals
- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
- Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantitiews
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (not essential)
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
- Proficient in using cost estimation software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
