Do you have the empathy, resilience, and dedication to make a real difference in the lives of women and children seeking safety and support?\n\nWe are seeking a Domestic Violence Refuge Worker to join our committed team in providing high-quality, trauma-informed support to residents of our refuge. This is a vital role in helping survivors rebuild their lives in a safe and empowering environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n- Provide emotional and practical support to women and children living in the refuge.\n\n- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety and support plans tailored to individual needs.\n\n- Advocate on behalf of residents with external agencies including housing, legal, health, and social services.\n\n- Facilitate group sessions and activities that promote recovery, confidence, and independence.\n\n- Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes.\n\n- Ensure the refuge is a welcoming, safe, and supportive space for all residents.\n\nEssential Requirements:\n\n- Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally within domestic abuse or safeguarding settings.\n\n- Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on survivors.\n\n- Ability to work in a non-judgmental, empowering, and culturally sensitive manner.\n\n- Excellent communication, organizational, and crisis management skills.\n\n- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.\n\n- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).\n\nWe Offer:\n\n- A supportive team environment with regular supervision and training.\n\n- Opportunities for professional development.\n\n- A chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of survivors.\n\nTo apply, please send your CV
