Funeral Director
Salary: £29,776 per annum (£15.27 per hour) plus benefits.
Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-8pm.
This role includes part of the on-call rota Monday to Sunday 8am-8pm.
Location: Budleigh Salterton, EX9 6LE. Occasional travel to Exmouth & Honiton.
No experience required. All positions within Funeralcare may involve direct physical contact with the deceased as part of normal duties. Amount of contact will differ depending on role applied for.
Typical duties include but are not limited to preparation, transportation, and personal care of the deceased. These duties are carried out with professionalism, dignity, respect and adherence to health and safety standards. Please carefully consider your comfort levels before applying.
Responsibilities
* Make sure client needs, service levels, and KPIs are met.
* Be clients' main point of contact, supporting and guiding with help from the wider team.
* Support funerals—conduct the ceremony, lead the team, and carry the deceased when necessary.
* Ensure all regulated work, including funeral planning appointments, is referred to a certified colleague.
* Build and maintain relationships with the team, clients, and the community.
Qualifications
* A commercial mindset and experience in a managerial role.
* A strong customer focus and passion for delivering a great service.
* Ability to capture intricate detail and ensure it is reflected in the service delivered.
* Compassion, understanding, empathy, and the ability to keep a cool head under pressure.
* UK manual driving licence.
