Financial Controller Wisbech, Cambridgeshire £65,000 - £75,000 per annum Permanent | Full-time Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing business based in Wisbech, North Cambridgeshire, to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a key leadership role within the finance function, offering a genuine progression pathway to Finance Director level as the organisation continues to expand and modernise. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in driving process improvement, implementing new and simplified reporting tools, and supporting the business on its journey towards greater financial efficiency and insight. This role also offers the unique perk of a 4 day week (Monday-Thursday) but paid as a full-time salary. Key Responsibilities Ensure timely completion of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and consolidation of international entity results Oversee general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and all purchase and sales invoicing processes Manage and develop a finance team of five Take ownership of VAT returns, statutory reporting, and all government submissions Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors Oversee daily cashflow management and forecast future cash requirements Manage loan stock drawdowns and monitor funding positions Analyse monthly stock movements and payments across different stock classes Provide insightful expenditure analysis and commentary to support management decision-making Ensure compliance with all funding covenants and reporting obligations Take full responsibility for staff payroll operations Manage key supplier and customer relationships, including potential overseas travel where required Experience & Qualifications Fully qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA Proven experience in managing and developing a finance team Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical ability Excellent communication and presentation skills Confident operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a desire to streamline and improve reporting processes Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
