A welcoming and inclusive SEND primary school in Stretford, is looking for a 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with one pupil who requires additional support to access learning and thrive in the school environment. Your role will be vital in helping them build confidence, independence, and social skills while achieving their individual learning goals. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs, both in and outside the classroom. Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised learning plans. Support the child's emotional, social, and academic development. Use a positive, nurturing approach to encourage participation and engagement. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure consistent support. We're Looking For Someone Who: Has experience supporting children with additional needs (autism, communication difficulties, SEMH, or similar). Is calm, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships with pupils. Works well as part of a team and shows initiative. Holds (or is working towards) a relevant qualification such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent. Has a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
