We are looking for a dedicated, reliable Occupational Hygienist to join our Environmental Team. As a member of the team, it is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in safety and exposure monitoring, as well as knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role.
Responsibilities:
* Attend clients' operational sites to safely perform scheduled monitoring to determine occupational exposure to dust, fume, noise, vibration, and other workplace health hazards
* Prepare detailed technical occupational hygiene reports to SOCOTEC’s high quality standards
* Comply with SOCOTEC’s various management systems (Health & safety, Environmental, Quality)
* Be proactive in maintaining your occupational hygiene continuous professional development (CPD)
Qualifications and Skills:
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent interpersonal skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of the client’s workforce
* An ability to self-manage workload & deadlines
* Relevant BOHS / IOA qualifications
* A full driving licence
About the Environmental Team:
Our Environmental team comprises specialists operating in areas such as Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy, Occupational Hygiene, and supporting laboratories. Our services include on-site monitoring, sample collection, consultancy on large projects, and onsite works for dust, noise, and emissions. We pride ourselves on comprehensive support for our clients using our highly trained employees.
