These include specialist SEN schools, primary and secondary SEN units, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and SEMH schools. As a supply teacher, you'll have the flexibility to work when it suits you while supporting students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs. As a SEN Supply Teacher you will be responsible for the below: Delivering pre-planned lessons adapted to SEN students' individual learning requirements Following existing curriculum content and ensuring accessibility for all pupils Utilizing specialized teaching approaches using various methods including PECS, makaton and other assistive technologies Supporting existing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalized learning targets Working collaboratively with permanent teaching assistants and school staff Maintaining continuity of student progress and following established routines To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience educating children with SEN across various needs and conditions Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (where applicable) and satisfactory professional references Complete CV detailing employment history for the previous 10 years where available Valid right to work in the UK Tradewind are recognized for offering competitive daily rates of pay, extensive CPD opportunities beyond other agencies, excellent referral incentives and regular networking & social events each term.
