We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Administrator to join a busy and well-established operations team based in Hatfield. This is a permanent, office-based role supporting warehouse operations and reporting directly to the Section Manager.
This position would suit someone highly organised, accurate, calm under pressure, and confident working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with time-sensitive tasks.
The Role
As Warehouse Administrator, you will be responsible for all administrative activities that support the day-to-day running of the operations warehouse. You will work closely with warehouse staff, office teams, and management to ensure all transactions and records are accurate and up to date.
Key responsibilities include:
Receiving and processing all inbound shipments into the business database
Creating warehouse notes and PODs for pallets, cartons and individual items
Handling packing lists and bills of lading
Accurately recording discrepancies such as damage, shortages or overages
Uploading clear photographic evidence of damaged goods into the system
Communicating receiving issues and discrepancies promptly
Scanning picking and packing lists and updating records accordingly
Updating pallet locations and allocating warehouse receiving time to projects
Investigating unknown shipments in collaboration with Goods In
Supporting project deliveries by processing product pulls and printing pull requests
Reviewing and printing picking plans when required
Processing returns from the field and managing Return to Warehouse (RTW) documentation
Organising transport, collections and deliveries, including driver routing
Approving invoices and flagging discrepancies
Being cost-conscious and identifying opportunities to reduce expenses
Carrying out additional duties as required
What We’re Looking For
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams
Numerate and methodical approach to work
Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience in a warehouse, logistics or operations environment is highly desirable
