Main Job Purpose: To work as a key member of the team in delivering our service to our core members whilst ensuring that LArches vision and values are embedded within the team. Buildingaco-operativeandcollaborativeteamthatisflexibleandadaptabletochanging requirementswithintheorganisation. Assigning work to team members, monitoring and supervising the day-to-day delivery and quality standards of the work. Supporting the Registered Manager by open and candid participation in regular performancemanagementmeetingsagreeingobjectives,identifyingspecificactionsand development needs, reflecting on performance and providing constructive feedback. Providingeffectivecoachingtoteammemberstosupporttheirperformanceintheirroles. Supporting the Registered Manager to actively monitor attendance and absence, undertakingreturntoworkinterviewsandimplementingabsencemanagementprocedures as necessary. Providingregularsupportandsupervisiontosupportworkersandvolunteers. Managingowntimeandschedulestoensureat-least10hoursperweekaresetasidetokeep administrationtasksuptodateandinorder. TogetherwiththeRegisteredManagerandHouseAdministrator,co-ordinatingandmanaging theinductionofnewSupportWorkersandVolunteerstoinclude:expectationsofLarche Assistants,scheduling,involvementinotherprojects etc. Supporting the Registered Manager in conducting annual appraisals for all Support Workersand long-term Volunteers, and facilitating 3-month reviews for new Support Workers and Volunteers. Takingtheleadinteammeetings,ensurethedistributionof minutes,andthat allaction points areaddressedandaccomplishedinatimelyandacceptablemanner. Working with the Registered Manager to organise or facilitate training and formation sessions when required, as part of Larches in-house training programme. Arrangingandorganisingreferencemeetingswithaminimumrequirementoftwoperyear for each core member. Working with theRegistered Managerand other team membersto ensurea consistently good quality of life in the community e.g. through celebrations, communicating with old friends, inviting friends and family to dinner. Working with the Registered Manager to ensure that all care and housing support standards, code of conduct, regulations, staff policies and internal procedures are adhered to and complied with at all times. Actingas thefirst point of referralforallcomplaints, andworkingwiththe RegisteredManager to ensure that complaints are appropriately addressed to the satisfaction of all parties concerned. Delivering and maintaininga communication channel to ensure thatall team membersare included and actively involved and kept up to date with information to support them in their roles with Larche. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED TO FULFIL THIS ROLE EFFFECTIVELY: Previous experience in a similar environment and/or holds a qualification appropriate to the sector e.g. Social Work degree, a minimum of NVQ3 / QCF 3 or equivalent qualification; or willingness to study towards same; Aparticipative leadershipandmanagementstyle; Indepthknowledgeandunderstanding of thecomplexandmultipleneeds facedbythe service user group (core members); Sound working knowledge and understanding of issues relating to core members in a similar environment and a commitment to working in a person-centred way; A sound working knowledge of current regulatory requirements and the ability to translate this into practice, or willingness to learn; AsoundworkingknowledgeofProtectionofVulnerableAdultsframework,theabilitytofollow procedures and development of a culture of safe practice; Experienceofsupervisingateam; Theabilitytoadaptyourcommunicationtosuittheaudience,e.g.coremembers; Goodtimemanagementandabletoworktodeadlines.
