We are recruiting Sports Coaches to work as Teaching Assistants, supporting students both in the classroom and within the PE department across secondary schools in Wigan and Warrington.
There is high demand for specialist sports staff, with opportunities to progress into Cover Supervisor roles for candidates who are confident leading groups — offering higher rates of pay.
The Role:
Supporting pupils in lessons as a Teaching Assistant
Assisting within the PE department (lessons, activities, fixtures)
Providing behaviour and engagement support
Opportunity to step up into Cover Supervisor work (optional)
Ideal Candidates:
Background in sports coaching, sports science, PE, or fitness
Confident working with young people (secondary age)
Positive, energetic, and reliable
Graduates and career-changers encouraged to apply
Experience in schools is helpful but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
