This role is pivotal in ensuring the contractual and financial delivery of our product strategy, aligned with broader execution and financial plans. The successful candidate will drive supplier engagement, risk mitigation, and commercial excellence across the full project lifecycle.
As a, you will be responsible for:
1. Define and execute supplier strategies, including panel management, negotiations, and claims resolution.
2. Lead contract negotiations and ensure alignment with internal procurement policies and project goals.
3. Provide commercial leadership from ITO (Inquiry to Order) through execution, ensuring early risk identification and cost validation.
4. Develop strategic contracting models with suppliers to improve execution certainty and manage risk.
5. Establish and maintain robust rhythms with suppliers, including monthly contract reviews covering cost, variations, risks, and opportunities.
6. Drive change control processes to optimize execution and protect business interests.
7. Align contract scope and strategy with the overall WS strategy and long-term business goals.
8. Collaborate with Sourcing to develop project-specific sourcing plans and timelines.
9. Ensure compliance with contractual administration requirements and support internal/external reporting.
10. Lead the formulation and negotiation of contractual claims and counterclaims.
11. Integrate lessons learned into future sales, commercial, and product strategies.
12. Maintain variation control systems and manage negotiations to optimize project outcomes.
13. Support project risk and opportunity reviews and ensure commercial risks are actively managed.
14. Liaise with schedulers, planners, and execution managers to maintain visibility of key events and fulfillment issues.

To be successful in this role you will:
15. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field. (High school diploma/GED with relevant experience may be considered.)
16. Experience in commodity or subcontract management, preferably in the energy or subsea sector.
17. Deep understanding of lump sum, unit rate, and reimbursable contract models, including clauses related to payment, variations, escalation, and risk.
18. Proven ability to secure favorable outcomes and adapt to alternative contractual positions.
19. Strong capability in identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial risks.
20. Ability to build networks, mentor team members, and influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
21. Familiarity with subsea production systems and EPC project cycles.
22. Skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams/Zoom, ARM, P6, supplier portals, and document management systems.
23. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
24. Proven leadership in cross-functional and matrix environments.
25. Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
26. Track record of improving project sourcing profitability and managing commercial risk.
27. Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
