JMP Selection Ltd has been retained by an expanding Glasgow based service business, to source a high calibre commercial financial analyst to play a critical role in the expansion of the business.
Reporting into the CFO, you will:
* Conduct in-depth analysis of prospective acquisitions through financial and commercial due diligence in accordance with the M&A playbook.
* Provide valuable data analysis and reporting to contribute to the accurate financial reporting and controls. You will also build on the current procedures in place to ensure valuable Management reporting and KPIs are created to evidence financial performance.
* Build successful working relationships and credibility with the senior management team to provide effective Business partnering to help identify and exploit market opportunities through financial analysis.
* Support the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting including:
* preparation of the rolling trading forecasting, in-month flash reporting including analysis and work closely.
* constructive review with budget owners to ensure forecasting is accurate and costs are within budget.
* preparation of cash flow projections, working capital management and banking covenant compliance
* Review and challenge, ensuring consistency of messaging for reported results and highlighting areas for development, further review, and challenges to the business.
* Support the tracking and management of spend on large capital projects.
You must be a qualified accountant with several years PQE and ideally expertise in the following:
* Commercial accounting expertise, investment appraisal expertise and M&A support experience including post-acquisition integration support.
* Budgeting, forecasting and modelling expertise that generates valuable commercial insights to the management team.
* Proven business partnering expertise with ability to provide clear recommendations to senior management to help optimise and challenge financial performance.
