Domestic Support Worker (Ref: 213325)
Details: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6pm – 8pm
Salary: Band 2, £24,647 to £26,763 pro-rata per annum, plus Distant Island Allowance of £2,380 pro-rata per annum
We aim to support our staff through team-working, skill development, and ensuring safety and well-being at work. Our goal is to maintain clean hospital sites for safe, effective, quality care, providing a comfortable experience for service users.
Responsibilities include:
* Distributing beverages to patients
* Changing water jugs
* Washing patient dishes
* Wiping down patient bed areas
Flexibility, commitment, and a positive attitude are essential. Enhanced rates are paid for weekend, unsocial, and overnight hours. Uniform and PPE are provided, along with access to a pension scheme and generous holiday entitlement. Full training will be provided; previous experience is desirable but not necessary.
Qualifications include a good basic education, good communication skills, and a full UK driving licence is desirable. Training and induction will be provided, with ongoing support from managers and colleagues. There may be opportunities to develop skills in laundry or catering.
