The role:
* Manage and Direct manufacturing, engineering and maintenance functions to meet customer quality and production requirements at minimum cost.
* Instill a Quality culture within the department, ensuring all systems and procedures are strictly followed, only good quality product reaches the customer, and all quality targets are met
* Create the department manpower and overtime plan
* Allocate department manpower resource to tasks and manage the resource plan

Essential Criteria:
* Minimum degree level qualification in engineering
* Min. 5 years’ experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment
* Min. 3 years’ experience in a management / supervisory role in an engineering/manufacturing environment
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Must be capable of working productively in a pressurized environment
* Able to lead and motivate teams and create a positive environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Planning and organizing skills
* Results and customer focused
* Ability and confidence to make prompt, clear and tough decisions
* Able to adapt and react to change in a positive manner
* Creative and innovative
* Determine resource requirements and work allocation for production operation
* Analyze overall budget and implement cost-optimization initiatives
* Ensure safety measures and procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards
* Manage performance review, appraisals, and promotions for employees

* Experience within the automotive industry
* Willingness to adapt and to learn and implement new processes and systems
