Offer description

We are now recruiting a support workers for our day service and domiciliary team. We are giving you the opportunity to join our team and provide a fun, action packed day for individuals with additional needs.

Experience is preferred, however full training is provided.

**Job Purpose**

To provide high-quality care and support to individuals, enabling them to live as independently as possible. This includes helping with daily activities, promoting personal development, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. **Personal Care:**

2. Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

3. Support individuals with mobility, including the use of aids and adaptations.

4. **Daily Living Assistance:**

5. Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry.

6. Assist with meal planning and preparation according to dietary requirements.

7. **Health and Medication:**

8. Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records.

9. Monitor health conditions and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.

10. **Emotional and Social Support:**

11. Provide companionship and engage in activities that promote social interaction.

12. Support individuals in attending appointments and participating in community activities.

13. **Personal Development:**

14. Encourage and support individuals in pursuing hobbies, education, and employment.

15. Assist with the development of independent living skills.

16. **Record Keeping:**

17. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and any changes in the individual's condition.

18. Complete reports and documentation as required by the organization.

19. **Safety and Compliance:**

20. Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety regulations.

21. Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures to protect individuals from abuse and harm.

**Essential:**

* Full Driving Licence

* Clear background check.

* Patience and resilience.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Reliable and punctual.

**Working Conditions**

* Variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

* Work may be in day service facilities, Individuals homes or community settings.

**Additional Information**

* Ongoing training and development opportunities are provided.

* Support workers must maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £12.60 per hour
