Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy, safe, and compliant with all legal and company standards. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs and trailers * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults * Perform MOT preparations, safety inspections, and defect rectification * Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently * Ensure all work complies with DVSA, health & safety, and company regulations * Complete accurate job cards, service records, and compliance documentation * Respond to vehicle breakdowns and roadside repairs when required * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment * Liaise with fleet managers and drivers regarding vehicle condition and repairs Requirements & Qualifications * Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician * Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent) * Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence (preferred but not essential) * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Good understanding of DVSA regulations and vehicle saf...
