Job Description

You will manage the Innovation agenda in Europe, serving as the central finance lead for our Meals category while working closely with the Marketing Director MEU on MEU innovation projects. You will also business partner with our Marketing Excellence team MEU and the global Innovation team, and act as the lead contact for the Sustainability VP MEU.


How You Will Contribute

* Manage and execute aspects of finance planning and performance management, including Strategic Plan and Annual Contract planning/forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modelling, and decision support for a focused scope within a region, business unit, country, Supply Chain, Mondeléz International Business Services or Corporate Finance team. Own data collection and verify data integrity.
* Ensure a strong controls and compliance environment in your area of scope and full compliance with our policies.
* Help the senior manager and the business prepare critical financial data and insight that enable perspectives for business strategies and decisions, and execute ad-hoc analysis on request.
* Lead projects to improve efficiencies and ways of working, embracing a continuous improvement mindset.
* Contribute to a high-performing Finance team, invest in personal development and the development of Finance peers, and drive our Finance talent agenda within the organization, focusing on local FP&A pipeline.
* Work closely with the Marketing Excellence and PCM team on our Innovation agenda for all categories.
* As the main business partner for our sustainability lead, oversee the sustainability financials and collaborate with the Senior Director Sustainability MEU and Procurement Finance Director.


What You Will Bring

* Technical expertise in financial planning and performance management, including data collection, structuring, analysis, planning and reporting of company financial performance across all financial KPIs and investment decisions, and cost management to achieve financial targets.
* Business acumen and understanding of our business, the consumer packaged goods industry, and local snacking market dynamics. Relevant experience in a regional/local business.
* Leadership skills, including experience with business partnering and communication across a large regional or local public company.
* Growth/digital mindset, with the ability to identify and execute opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Integrity and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions, aligned with our values and policies and external regulations.

What you need to know about this position

The Manager Category Finance must have a collaborative style, building cross‑functional partnerships and effectively influencing. You will provide business decision support to management and FP&A support to the Senior Category Finance Manager MEU Bakery & Meals, the FP&A Director, and the Central Marketing Innovation team MEU.


Main responsibilities


Meals

* Key business partner to the Sr Director Meals MEU, leading financial analysis and directing the Central Marketing team on innovations and strategic decisions.
* Participate in the monthly Project Approval (PAM) Process through assessment and voting on various projects (Innovations/ Promotions/ Profitability/ Maintenance/ Productivities).
* Prepare regular innovation updates for Category and area Finance Leadership.
* Coordinate the post‑evaluation process for recent new product launches and support Marketing with BDM (Brand Development Meeting) presentations and framing the story.
* Participate in monthly BDMs, directing other project team functions (e.g., BD teams) to improve functional decision making of our innovation pipeline and estimate financial impacts of different options.
* Lead and coordinate FP&A activities for the Meals category, including product hierarchy management, restatements, and NPD tracking and analysis.
* Ensure budgeting and actuals for Meals align with company targets and manage budget tracking of central A&C for Meals.
* Drive process efficiencies and ways‑of‑working improvements, promote financial knowledge and literacy to non‑finance functions by providing advice and consulting.
* Manage a Genpact support for tasks such as innovation P&L preparation, ad‑hoc retrieves, monthly actuals deck, etc., and provide ad‑hoc FP&A support.
* Lead finance topics within the Compass system project scope.


Sustainability

* Key business partner to the Sr Director Sustainability MEU, coordinating financial tracking for various sustainability streams.
* Coordinate budgeting and Strategic Plan (SP) processes in Sustainability and Mindful Snacking related projects with both Regional and Global teams.
* Provide central support to ensure robust finance assumptions from cross‑functional teams are included for budgeting/SP.
* Partner with Procurement Finance to understand sustainability on‑costs and ensure impacts are mitigated, maintaining viability in the P&L.


What you need to be successful in the role

* Understanding of PnL structure and variance analysis.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, listening, and communication skills.
* Presentation and problem‑solving skills with multi‑tasking and influencing across departments.
* Self‑motivated, proactive, organized, and highly competent in Excel.
* Adaptable, resilient, and able to operate effectively in a changing environment using initiative and personal resourcefulness.
* Collaborative approach and coaching skills for other team members.
* Working knowledge of Finance systems (FIT, BI) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
* Five or more years of experience in Finance, Category, and FP&A.
* Ability to use data to make recommendations and decisions.
* Fluent in English.


Innovation Excellence

* Key business partner to the Marketing Excellence & PCM MEU.
* Act as the first point of contact for all categories, supporting Marketers with project sufficiency and efficiency.
* Understand Innovation reporting in Accolade and respond to global requests.
* Define hurdle rates for innovation and other projects in collaboration with your manager.
* Improve ways of working for innovation projects across all categories and collaborate on end‑to‑end processes.
* Understand the Innovation Dashboard and work with Genpact and our COE for quarterly reporting of top innovations.
