Hours of Work: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only)
Are you a confident and experienced HLTA ready to make a meaningful impact in the classroom? We are seeking a dedicated higher level teaching assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Barking & Dagenham this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work part-time in a school that celebrates teamwork, inclusivity, and professional development. As an HLTA, you’ll play a vital role in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering high-quality learning and stepping up to lead classes when needed.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of a teacher
• Deliver small group interventions and targeted support
• Assist with planning, preparing, and assessing pupil progress
• Support children with varied learning needs, ensuring inclusivity and engagement
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to promote positive outcomes
Ideal Candidate Qualities
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Confident in leading learning across both KS1 and KS2
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and passionate about education
• A team player who brings positivity and initiative to the classroom
