Job Title: Dumper Driver with National Grid Persons Location: Norwich Project: Substation Civils Contract Type: Contract - CIS Contract Length: 6 months Hours: 46.5 per week Our client is looking for an experienced Dumper Driver/Groundworker to join their Civils team on a live substation construction project. The role will involve safe and efficient operation of forward tipping dumpers, supporting groundworks and general site operations for a National Grid Substation project. Key Responsibilities: Operate dumper to transport earth, materials, and equipment around the site Support groundworkers and site operatives in material movement and earthworks Carry out pre-start checks and daily maintenance on the machine Follow site safety rules and contribute to a safe working environment Work under the direction of the site supervisor and support wider team activities as needed Qualifications and Experience: CPCS or NPORS card with Dumper Driver category (Forward Tipping etc.) Previous experience working on civils or substation/utility projects preferred Must Hold National Grid Persons Understanding of site safety and machine operation best practices Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions clearly Must have own PPE Manual handling or other site safety certificationsSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
