Overview
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to lead the growth of our Hospital Charity and forge high-impact, long-term relationships with mid to large-sized companies. This is a part-time, fixed-term role for 18 months. Closing date: 24 October 2025.
Key responsibilities
* Shape and deliver the strategic direction of the charity.
* Identify and realise new revenue streams, including events and corporate/commercial partnerships.
* Oversee the development and implementation of innovative fundraising projects.
* Advise the Charitable Funds Committee and Corporate Trustees on emerging opportunities.
* Provide regular progress reports against project milestones and KPIs.
* Lead stakeholder engagement and communications to maximise impact.

Person Specification
Knowledge Requirements
* A high-level understanding of English grammar in conjunction with language
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling challenging issues on a regular basis
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities
* Ability to identify main points from documents and to communicate these to a wide variety of audiences
Qualifications
* Educated to masters level or equivalent experience
* Certificate in Fundraising from Institute of Fundraising or equivalent experience
Experience
* Significant experience in liaising with stakeholders at all levels
* Significant experience of fundraising, ideally in a charity setting in a target-based environment
* Excellent, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Receive and provide highly complex, sensitive or contentious information and ideas
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products
* Established contacts with donors
