Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with a strong security and compliance background to design and implement end-to-end solution architectures within a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and regulatory monitoring systems.
This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and regulatory-aligned technology solutions that enable safe and efficient digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Product Owners, Platform Leads, Enterprise Architects, and Engineering teams to develop and maintain architectures supporting regulatory and compliance monitoring capabilities.
* Design, build, and drive end-to-end solution designs that are technically sound, secure, and aligned with organisational, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
* Apply industry best practices, frameworks, and standards to deliver high-value, secure, and compliant solutions.
* Elicit and validate requirements, ensuring solution designs align with target architecture and compliance objectives.
* Act as a subject matter expert, defining guiding principles, success criteria, and providing oversight to ensure quality and modernised architectures.
* Partner with platform teams to identify and assess risks related to software and infrastructure lifecycle or currency issues.
* Continuously review and recommend improvements or “ever-greening” of systems and solutions.
* Collaborate on the use and governance of Secrets Management solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk appetite and compliance standards.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Systems Engineer within large-scale, multi-disciplinary product or platform environments.
* Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and related tools such as Terraform, Harness, and GitHub.
* Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks within enterprise technology settings.
* Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, including their security and compliance services.
* Strong understanding of secure deployment and configuration practices.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information and present it in a clear and compelling manner.
* Experience engaging with Enterprise, Security, Data, and Infrastructure architecture stakeholders.
* Familiarity with Architectural Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance processes.
* Prior experience within a Cyber Defence or Security Operations environment is highly desirable.
