Job Description
Cubico is recruiting an experienced Compliance Officer to implement, maintain and oversee the Group’s Ethical Compliance Programme, with a particular focus on anti-bribery and corruption, fraud prevention, supplier due diligence and on-boarding, and whistleblowing. This position plays a key role in embedding a culture of ethics and compliance across all business units and regions.
The ideal candidate will also have also experience with evolving ESG-related regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be based in London, and sit as part of the Legal & Compliance Team. The ability to start in the role promptly is a benefit.
This is a part-time position (3-days per week).
Job Requirements
Candidate Profile
* Experience in developing and managing ethical compliance programmes within an international or multi-jurisdictional business.
* Strong knowledge of ABC, fraud prevention, whistleblowing management, sanctions, due diligence, and ethical conduct frameworks.
* Legal, compliance, risk, audit or related qualification (Legal preferred).
* Native/fluent English speaker. Spanish and/or Italian would be advantageous.

* Experience in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector (preferred).
Job Responsibilities
Ethical Compliance Programme Development & Maintenance
* Implement, and continuously enhance the company’s Ethical Compliance Programme.
* Carry out agreed compliance assessments and audits on an annual basis.
* Prepare, maintain and periodically review the Cubico Group’s Ethical Compliance Policies to ensure adherence to law and regulation and identify risks and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
* Monitor legal and regulatory changes in the Ethical Compliance space across Cubico’s regions, provide internal updates and take necessary actions as required.
* Draft and negotiate Compliance-related contractual provisions.
* Manage tools and systems supporting the compliance framework, including KYC and supplier onboarding tools; external whistleblowing hotline; and internal compliance reporting tools for employees
Training, Monitoring & Assurance
* Deliver Ethical Compliance training globally across company offices to ensure all employees understand compliance requirements and their responsibilities.
* Conduct Global Ethical Compliance Assessments and Audits to benchmark and improve the compliance environment.
* Conduct country-level Ethical Compliance Risk Assessments and Audits.
* Pursue initiatives to reinforce a cultural of integrity throughout the organisation, including through regular reminders and communications.
Risk Management & Reporting
* Prepare, update, and maintain the Compliance Risk Register.
* Draft and publish the annual Modern Slavery Statement.
* Present annual updates on the Ethical Compliance Programme to the Board Audit & Risk Committee.
* Report on compliance and ESG activities to the General Counsel on a monthly basis
Whistleblowing & Investigations
* Manage the whistleblowing framework, ensuring confidentiality, responsiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Lead and coordinate whistleblowing investigations, including reporting findings and recommending remediation actions.
Leadership & Advisory
* Manage and support local Compliance Officers across all Cubico countries.
* Provide Compliance advice on all of the Group’s activities, including M&A, development, procurement, construction and operational activities, including due diligence and integration planning.
* Act as a trusted advisor on Ethical Compliance matters to senior leadership and business units.
ESG
* Lead Cubico’s compliance with evolving ESG-related regulatory requirements, ensuring timely monitoring, interpretation and implementation of relevant frameworks and disclosures.
* Serve as a proactive member of Cubico’s ESG Committee
* Partner with internal stakeholders, including Cubico’s Communications team, to support the development of ESG reporting, data collection, and governance processes.
