Local SEN Specialist school is seeking an experienced English teacher to join their team on a permanent basis
A specialist SEMH school, which caters to a diverse cohort of 24 students aged 7 - 17, this school is a vibrant, joyful and nurturing community.
Within this role you will be primarily a teacher of children before a teacher of English Language and Literature. Knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships and motivating students will all be key to your success.
The school's English curricula span Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key stage 3 and GCSE. You will be supported by national subject champions who can support the work of non-subject specialists to be experts in how best to facilitate learning for the children they know best.
You will inspire children, creating a sense of awe and wonder and making subjects and lessons real and relevant to them. You will plan exciting and engaging learning opportunities which challenge and push students, whether they are working on the very basics or they have a special talent or passion for English.
