We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (with construction experience) to join our successful team in the Portakabin Hire Division based in Glasgow. This role is to ensure that all allocated projects are completed in a manner that prioritises a zero harm culture, meeting or exceeding our customers’ expectations on programme and budget.
You will work in harmony with the Site Services Manager and Service Managers to ensure the labour resources required for projects are supported. Creating a baseline programme of project scope ensuring all elements are adequately programmed for quality, reputation, and Health & Safety. Report on any changes to the baseline throughout the project lifecycle.
Your remit is to manage, coordinate, and communicate with all internal resources and third parties required, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, encompassing all change control throughout the project lifecycle.
You will have experience and thrive working productively in a high-pressure environment, with effective communication skills—listening, consulting others, and communicating proactively. Making rational judgments from the available information and analysis.
As a Project Manager, you will:
* Have proven Project Management experience in the construction industry (modular or building design background would be beneficial).
* Manage multiple different projects at one time (different sizes) to meet agreed programmes, specifications, and cost plans.
* Have experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on complex/high-value building projects.
* Establish early good working relationships with the client and client’s team members, maintaining and improving these throughout the programme of the project and beyond.
* Provide planning support and guidance for live and potential projects, respecting appropriate legislation and building regulations.
* Pay cognisance of all contractual issues of orders from clients, and take the necessary steps to minimize and protect the company from all associated financial and legal risks involved, including supporting the project team with the Health and Safety requirements for the contract (CDM).
* Provide updates for Project Governance reports highlighting risks, issues, and progress against the financial plan.
* Possess a full UK Driving licence.
* Work productively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Preferably hold a Project Management qualification; however, experience is more key for this role.
