Chartered Building Surveyor
Location: Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
Join a leading independent real estate consultancy. Hollis expands its surveying team in the Midlands. You will handle commercial instructions including offices, retail, industrial and residential. ESG and sustainability are at the forefront of our expertise. You will work with key stakeholders and clients on innovative solutions and projects.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage a healthy pipeline of building surveying instructions, or specialise in professional projects.
* Lead instructions across commercial sectors (office, retail, etc.), including dilapidations, TDD, LTA's, Tenant Alterations and contract administration.
* Act as key point of contact for blue‑chip private clients and some public sector.
* Contribute to service offering development, support junior surveyors and the wider team.
* Business development: source new work, cross‑sell Hollis services, network to grow client base.
* Provide excellent client care, take ownership and manage relationships effectively.
* Act as project lead, running the project from start to finish including invoicing, specifications, budgets and WIP.
* Collaborate with neighbouring offices across the Midlands.
Requirements
* MRICS building surveyor.
* Experience delivering building surveying instructions efficiently within the commercial real estate sectors.
* Good understanding of project work and/or technical surveying areas such as dilapidations, TDD.
* Commercially minded, comfortable acting as the main contact for clients and stakeholders.
* Confident to lead projects and take ownership of work.
* Excellent communicator and ability to manage workload effectively.
* Strong report writing and communication skills.
