What you'll be doing day to day
Oversee the planning, preparation and completion of annual trust accounts and tax returns.Review of personal tax returns and preparation of more complex returnsOpportunity to prepare farm and rural business accounts and tax returns for sole trades, partnerships and companiesPrepare IHT returns and CGT 60 day property returnsOversee client bookkeeping services and preparation of forecasts and projections Undertake detailed analysis of income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and controlIdentify financial, commercial and tax planning opportunities for clientsDraft correspondence for clients; liaising with HMRC, by telephone and emailExposure to various capital tax issues e.g. inheritance tax and capital gains taxNetworking at county shows and professional events.Sharing knowledge and catching up with other rural teams across our southwest officesHave opportunities to participate in client meetingsAbout you
AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist), or qualified by experience, with relevant experience in a similar roleGood technical knowledge of trust accounts preparation and tax complianceCommitted, logical and accurate, with a methodical approach to work and strong attention to detailExperience in using excel is an advantageAble to work independently and demonstrate initiative in delivering an excellent service to clients
