The Role:
Are you passionate about supporting a deaf child with their learning and communication needs? Are you BSL Level 2 qualified with a competent level of fluency? Halesbury school is looking to appoint a Communication Support Worker (Hearing Impairment) with BSL or Signature Level 2 in BSL.
In order to apply for this vacancy, you must:-
* Have completed BSL or Signature Level 2 in BSL
* Have experience of working with children with SEN in a specialist educational setting and the ability to support pupils during emotional and behavioural crisis
* Have the ability to implement Autism friendly practices to support the young person within a class
Only candidates meeting the above criteria will be considered for this post.
Hours: 32.5 per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)
Salary: £20,899.26 (which includes SEN 2 allowance of £1500.55)
