Provide field-based service and support to our clients across audio‑visual, video conferencing, pro‑audio, and control equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform removal, repair, testing, implementation, and operation of all aspects of audio‑visual, video conferencing, display, and presentation technologies. You will also carry out preventative maintenance visits and train end‑users where required.
Accountabilities
* Post‑implementation fault finding, testing, and repair of audio‑visual equipment across various job sites and client types.
* On‑site work 80 % and in‑office 20 %.
* Perform maintenance on audio (DSP‑based systems such as QSC, Biamp, Shure, Poly), projection and display devices, custom control systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron, SY), audio‑video conferencing systems (Cisco, Lifesize, Polycom, Zoom, Microsoft Teams), Microsoft Hub, digital signage (Scala, OneLAN, Brightsign), video wall display systems (Datapath, Dexon), IPTV (Exterity, Tripleplay).
* Configure, diagnose, and perform firmware updates on videoconferencing codecs and general AV hardware.
* Maintain site cleanliness and safety, adhering to site rules, procedures, and health & safety.
* Communicate with customers and site contacts.
* Provide phone/email technical support and complete post‑job/PM reports.
* Conduct product research and development for client requirements and continue PDP and applicable training.
* Participate in IMS and quality policy awareness and development.
* Adhoc on‑site technical cover for annual leave and sickness.
Essential Skills
* At least 4 years of audio‑visual experience (installation, onsite support, technical support).
* Ability to terminate cables (Cat5/6, RS232, Audio TRS).
* Knowledge of audio room acoustic optimisation in various environments.
* Effective communication skills at all levels, especially client‑facing.
* Good numeracy and written skills.
* Well‑organised with prioritisation skills and proactive client interaction.
* Quick response to service desk tickets.
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
* Good time‑keeping and appropriate dress code for the role.
* Full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Clean driving licence and current passport holder.
* AVIXA CTS certification.
Desirable Skills
* Crestron P101 certification.
* Extron School of AV qualification.
* Cisco CCIP certification.
* Microsoft Teams core skills.
* Networking knowledge, including troubleshooting Dante/AES67 regarding QoS, PTP, IGMP.
