Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer £25,000 - £30,000 + 10% Bonus + 7.5 hr Work Day 7 Flexitime + BUPA Healthcare + Training & DevelopmentCertain Advantage is hiring for a Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer, based near Hinckley.This role is on a permanent basis and is fully office based.Are you looking for a role which can provide great training and development, whilst ensuring work / life balance through flexitime, and a 7.5-hour workday?You would be joining a growing business, which has a great culture and vibrant team, working from purpose-built facilities, where you will excel in a multi-faceted role, working on a variety of civil and geotechnical projects, liaising closely with consultant engineers, architects and contractors.The Company: We’re working with a well-established business which is currently experiencing rapid and sustained growth, manufacturing and supplying a range of advanced materials and products for use in geotechnical, civil engineering and construction projects.This is a highly reputable SME, which has recently moved into purpose-built facilities, offering a role which enables development, in a collaborative, friendly and vibrant culture.The Role: This role is for someone with a degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, looking for a role which will provide ongoing training and development, to help you reach your full potential.You will be working on a variety of technically challenging projects, with the assistance of two Senior Geotechnical Design Engineers.
* Full product training provided, over a 3 month induction period, as well as ongoing training and development from Senior Geotechnical Engineers
* Produce geotechnical design calculations, drawings and relevant documents for the use of geosynthetic materials
* Discuss products / solutions and designs with clients, typically consultant engineers, civil engineering contractors and architects to provide technical solutions
* Contact consultant engineers and civil engineering contractors, with a view to gaining specifications
* Develop and enhance technical capabilities of the business
The Individual:Skills & Experience
* BEng or MEng in either Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or similar discipline
* Ideally some post-graduate experience in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
* Experience with AutoCAD
