West London Council is looking for a Housing Officer (Fire Safety) to help our housing team keep residents safe. This role is project-based, focusing on fire safety in residential properties across the borough.
You will be responsible for making sure fire safety measures are in place, working closely with our housing team and travelling around the borough to undertake fire safety check.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Visit homes and estates across the borough to carry out fire safety checks.
2. Keep records up to date and report on fire safety progress.
3. Inform residents about fire safety improvements and potential hazards.
4. Be able to travel around the borough regularly.
Who We're Looking For:
5. Experience in fire safety or housing roles is required.
6. A good understanding of fire safety rules and housing standards.
7. Able to travel easily around the borough.
8. Strong communication and organisational skills.
9. Able to manage your work independently.
