Overview

Experienced hire, Permanent, READING. You will work within a welcoming team, reporting to the Payroll Team Leader or Payroll Manager. Youll get involved in client work very quickly, initially supporting the wider team before taking on individual responsibility for delivering payroll services to your clients. Youll be at the forefront of payroll, becoming a true expert and consultant, with excellent hybrid working (generally 2 days in the office after around 6 months).


Responsibilities

* Process client payroll records in accordance with statutory regulations and payroll deadlines.
* Apply changes to client payroll records including starters, leavers, absences, salary changes, pension deductions and various other pay adjustments.
* Process payments on behalf of clients and submit reports to HMRC in line with statutory deadlines.
* Work towards owning your own portfolio of clients, processing end-to-end payroll and building strong client relationships.
* Assist with client billing and month-end procedures.
* Adapt to changing landscapes with the support of a specialist training infrastructure to remain at the forefront of payroll.

* We welcome applicants with prior work experience in another field wishing to transform their career, as well as school-leavers and graduates.
* 5 GCSEs graded 4-9 or an equivalent qualification graded A-C.
* Strong numerical abilities and proven experience with MS Office.
* Passion for excellent customer service.
* Strong attention to detail.
