Job summary
Due to retirement, we have a vacancy for a 6 session GP Partner tojoin our team. Castlehead Medical Centre is the only medical centre in themarket town of Keswick in the Lake District National Park. Keswick provideseverything you need for a fantastic place to live and work.
We offer a BMA modelcontract, 15 min routine face-to-faceappointments, 12 patients per routine session, with fair allocation of workacross all the GP team. Own patient list to provide job satisfaction andcontinuity for patients. We will encourage you to develop clinical and non-clinicalspecial interests, and will offer a Partnership position with low buy-in coststo the right person. We have protected daily meeting time and considerourselves a friendly, approachable and sociable bunch!
We have a mixture of routine, urgent, telephone and triageappointments daily, with clinics modified to suit individual requirements wherepossible. Participation in Extended Access work on Tuesday evenings andweekends (ten per year) is not essential.

Main duties of the job
1. All dutiesrequired of a GP governed by GMS contract
2. Contribute andcomply with all objectives of GMS & Enhanced Service contracts
3. Effectivedata input & coding onto EMIS-X clinical system
4. Participatein clinical audits & significant event analyses
5. Take anactive role in practice & MDT meetings
6. Provide highquality teaching and support to GP Trainees and other staff in training
7. Beresponsible for own professional development and engage fully in appraisals
8. Maintainconfidentiality within the practice that protects patients, staff and all alliedhealth professionals
9. Clinicalcover for UTC and ward at local community hospital as per rota
10. Support andadhere to practice health & safety policies and legislation
11. Ensure thatall work is CQC compliant
12. Complete medical and other reports forpatients registered with the Practice
13. Take on anylead responsibilities in the practice for GMS, QOF, QIS and enhanced servicesas agreed within the partnership
14. Contribute tothe management & development of the practice
15. Work closelywith Finance, HR, Operations, Dispensary & Nursing managers to facilitatesafe, efficient, high quality, & effective Business Management
16. Liaise & attend Primary Care Network meetings as and when required
17. Participatein regular monthly & ad-hoc Partnership Meetings as required
18. Participatein nursing staff clinical appraisals
19. Review & develop clinical practice protocols and procedures
20. Work inaccordance of the Partnership Agreement
