This is a four-bed children’s home, where you will: Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan addressing their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs. Build a Great Team: With recruitment support, bring in the right people for your home. Complete company inductions and personal development plans to retain a strong and consistent team. Foster Consultation: Create systems to involve young people in decisions about the care they receive. Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan. Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose. Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing complaints or any child protection concerns. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with parents, carers and professionals to support the welfare of young people. Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings. Embrace a Safe Culture: Ensure children receive the highest possible standard of care. Manage Commercially: Oversee the home in line with budget expectations. Essential Requirements and Experience Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people in care Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a role related to residential childcare, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the past 5 years Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to begin within 6 months Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements Skills: Strong planning, organisation, budgeting, resource management and leadership abilities Communication: Confident in both written and verbal communication Understanding of Trauma: Knowledge of behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour Driving Licence: Full UK licence required Why Join Us?
