Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Employer Engagement Manager to lead and supervise our team of Employment Officers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that learners progress into sustainable employment, apprenticeships, or further training opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 360° recruitment, employer engagement, and team management, with a proven ability to meet and exceed KPIs and targets. You will be responsible for developing new employer partnerships, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring your team delivers high-quality support to learners from training into meaningful careers.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
* Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Employment Officers to achieve job outcome targets.
* Provide coaching, training, and performance management to ensure all KPIs are met.
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring consistent delivery and learner support.
* Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture within the team.
Employer Engagement & Stakeholder Management
* Develop and manage strong relationships with employers, local businesses, and key stakeholders to create sustainable employment opportunities.
* Act as the main point of contact for employers, ensuring professional and responsive service.
* Proactively identify new sectors, industries, and employers to expand employment pathways for learners.
* Build bridges between training provision and the labour market, ensuring employer needs are matched with learner skills.
Learner Progression & Recruitment
* Support the team in delivering 360° recruitment processes — from candidate sourcing and job-matching to post-placement support.
* Ensure learners receive tailored career guidance, interview preparation, and job-search support.
* Monitor learner outcomes and progression, ensuring compliance with funding and reporting requirements.
Performance & Reporting
* Set clear targets and KPIs for the team, monitoring performance closely.
* Produce accurate reports and management information on job outcomes, employer engagement activity, and progression statistics.
* Analyse performance data to identify gaps and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Compliance & Quality
* Ensure all team activities comply with internal policies, external funding requirements, and safeguarding obligations.
* Maintain accurate records of employer engagement and learner outcomes in line with audit requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 2 years experience managing or supervising a team in recruitment, employability, or employer engagement.
* Strong track record of achieving KPIs and performance targets.
* Proven experience in 360° recruitment or employability support (sourcing, candidate preparation, placement, and post-placement support).
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills with employers, stakeholders, and learners.
* Ability to build new partnerships and employment opportunities across multiple sectors.
* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Experience in producing reports, analysing data, and driving performance improvements.
