Here at Axe Valley Veterinary Practice, we are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The position will include a range of Nursing responsibilities such as Nurse Clinics, Anaesthetics, Inpatient Care and Laboratory work. The role will involve working in a combination of our branches.We can be flexible for the right candidate.
Shifts are 8 hours per day, 3-5 days per week ranging from 7:00am to 7:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. You will join our Weekend on-call rota, at our Blackford branch; 8:30am-1:00pm Saturday and 8:30am-10:30am on Sunday, both days include being on call until 7:00pm. Weekend shifts are paid on top of normal salary. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to come to work too.
The practice is well equipped with a supportive and friendly team. We have extensive diagnostic and clinical tools including endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiography (including dental radiography), in-house laboratory and much more! We are based in rural Somerset with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep in Blackford and stroll to the beach in Weston.
Currently, we have 9 Veterinary Surgeons, including 1 Medicine Certificate holder 2 Surgical, and 1 Medicine and Exotics certificate nearing completion. 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 4 Animal Nursing Assistants and 18 Support Staff.
