Our client, a leading provider of marine engineering training, is currently seeking a Technical Training Instructor with Pipefitter experience to join their team in Gosport.
This is a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to mentor the next generation of engineers, leveraging career expertise without prior teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide training on how to fit pipework on ships from a drawing (Fit from design)
Teach brazing techniques
Maintain strong collaboration within the business
Support trainee development through assessment, feedback, and personalised learning approaches
Maintain and update training materials, contributing to modernising and improving training delivery
Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and safety standards, and maintain a CPD portfolio
Job Requirements:
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in an engineering discipline
Proficiency in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace
Competent practical coppersmith/pipefitter hand skills
Proven experience in workshop/industry principles
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Level 4 Teaching Qualification or Train The Trainer Course (or equivalent)
Previous instructional experience in civilian engineering environment
