About the role
Pay Details: Level 3 Grade 5 SPC 8-12 £26,824 - £28,598 Pro Rata £13.90 - £14.82 Per Hour
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Main Place of Work: Fairfield Primary School
Temporary Reason: Temporary for the year- April 2026 to April 2027 (may be renewed)

We are seeking candidates who are confident and experienced in supporting young children in the early stages of their development.

About you
You will need:
1. Good numeracy/literacy/ICT skills.
2. An NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification – achieved or undergoing training
3. Experience of working within an Early Years setting.
4. A working knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales within a Foundation Learning setting
5. Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes.
6. To be able to use ICT effectively to support learning.
7. A commitment to the overall care and development of our pupils.
8. A full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation in keep children safe.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
10. To work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
