Head of Change Governance (Hybrid or Remote with regular travel to Preston)

As demands upon our organisation have grown, we are strengthening our Change team with an exciting opportunity for a new Head of Change Governance to join us.
Reporting to the Change Director, the Head of Change Governance will manage and govern Business Change across LPPA, with a clear focus on ensuring change management is adhered to across the organisation. The role will liaise with senior business leaders and colleagues to manage new business change through all correct process controls, supporting the allocation of resources, ensuring change is successfully communicated and embedded into the business teams with ROI captured.
Our ideal candidate is a motivated and ambitious individual, who has a successful track record of change management, risk management and is proficient in change governance and its controls. They must be able to manage and drive successful change across LPPA.
This role will be key to managing change to support the LPPA business plan, addressing challenges, and pro-actively managing risk. This individual must have strong and effective leadership and management of people to achieve LPPAs strategic goals and establish a culture that supports LPPAs aspiration to be the provider of choice for public sector pensions administration and a great place to work.

What youll be doing:
- Gatekeeper for all new change, ensuring all Change Requests meet the agreed criteria, clear mechanism for all new change
- Assessment of new change benefits with relating feedback loops back into the organisation
- Chairs the Change review forum, which produces clear and concise MI that supports the production of change dashboards that can be shared with stakeholders across LPPA
- Excellent Change visibility heatmap, resources (both people and environments) across LPPA
- Creates and communicates the LPPA Change portfolio across the organisation, attends cross functional meetings to ensure change awareness of all project activity
- Works closely with systems to cement Product and Process owners and obtain visibility of blueprints at process, client and employer level to enable us to distinguish who has what
- Chairs Benefits meeting and ensures projects remain on track to deliver and ensures benefit realisation is being followed through post Go Live
- Business Analysis capacity and capability management, ensuring there is cross skilling and knowledge transfer within the team
- Chairs Design Authority, working closely with systems to define the Change Criteria and rolls out across the business
- Audit responsibility for all Change governance, including carrying out Health Checks, responsible for plugging in all audit requirements, i.e. AAF, Client and Internal and to be on the forefront of all activity
- Risk Responsible for the Change feed into the LPPA Master Change RAID, to include RAID reviews with the Head of Delivery and working closely with Risk and Compliance team to ensure they have all they need for LPPAs master risk register and committees i.e. ARCC / Risk Board
- Change Management Tools: Enhance the change reporting capabilities, liaising with the HOD on possible solutions and ensuring alignment between Project and Change reporting
- Working closely with systems to better plan environment resources and releases around the change plans
What we need from you:
- Proven track record to manage and embed change successfully across the entire organisation
- Engaging and inspiring highly visible leadership across the business. Lead, motivate and performance manage direct reports and other employees
- Actively coach and inspire, listening with curiosity and building an inclusive environment. Create a culture of giving and receiving timely feedback across the business
- Must have experience in business change, risk management and change governance
- Ability to influence teams to work collaboratively to resolve issues and remove barriers to change
- Effective communication and leadership skills, including the ability to influence and build good working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
- Excellent level of numerical, analytical, ICT, and report writing skills to assist in the production of business cases, management of project budgets, communication of key messages and to facilitate discussions and decision making
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Access is advantageous
Nice to have:
- Experience of working in Pension Administration would be desirable, although not essential.
- Knowledge of working in the public sector is preferred but not essential.
