Join to apply for the Senior Project Engineer role at RSE. RSE Control Systems (Blackburn Starling) are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join us on a permanent basis in our Nottingham office, assisting in the design and delivery of projects across the UK. As part of our Design team, you will take a leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.
Responsibilities
* Manage all projects allocated to you and your team, including identification/management of risks and production/monitoring of project programme, ensuring overall success within technical, programme and financial constraints.
* Communicate effectively, professionally and in a timely manner with internal personnel, external customers, consultants and subcontractors.
* Ensure that the detailed engineering design (mechanical & electrical), manufacture of product, testing, delivery, installation, commissioning and documentation meet the customer’s requirements and contract specification.
* Undertake electrical design using the latest technology and preferred engineering techniques (e.g. compliance to BS EN 61439-2) to maximise efficiency.
* Attend weekly and/or monthly Senior Project Engineer Review Meetings and actively participate in improving operational aspects of the Department and the business.
* Produce project reports on a monthly basis (prior to the Senior Project Engineer Review Meetings).
* Prepare technical specifications (and drawings) for sub-contract equipment and participate in supplier tender assessments/negotiations with the Engineering/Commercial Manager.
* Ensure that variations/deviations are issued to the customer promptly and that information and related work are processed internally and externally, including preparation of cost estimates for submittal to clients to recover changes/variations.
What Do You Need?
* Degree / HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering.
* Proven track record in manufacturing experience.
* Experience with LV Switchboard design.
* Strong technical knowledge of Electrical Control Engineering (e.g., MCC/control panels, control systems) and industrial applications.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
