The Electrical/Utility/Site Services Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and improving site-wide electrical and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The role involves a blend of planned maintenance, reactive support, system monitoring, and technical problem-solving within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with PLC control systems, including monitoring, basic programming adjustments, and troubleshooting.
* Maintain and optimise equipment across site
* Conduct electrical fault finding and diagnostics to minimise downtime.
* Monitor, maintain, and control site utility systems such a fire sprinkler systems
* Ensure all utilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site standards.
* Carry out routine planned maintenance on electrical equipment.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and support rapid resolution.
* Produce basic maintenance reports and update records accurately.
* Maintain clear and accurate logs of maintenance activities.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives through reporting and analysis.
Experience Required
Minimum
* Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment.
Ideal
* Strong working knowledge of:
* PLCs
* Variable speed drives
* Compressors
Qualifications
Minimum
* City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering
Ideal
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
* 18th Edition IEE Regulations
