SPECIAL CARE BABY UNIT - NEONATAL DATA CO-ORDINATOR BAND 4
We at The Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust are seeking an experienced Data Co-ordinator responsible for collating, monitoring, and conducting basic analysis of data related to SCBU and Transitional Care activity. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who will provide an effective, efficient, and comprehensive data administration service to patients and staff. You should be computer literate and able to use various systems, including Microsoft Office. Training for trust-specific systems will be provided. You will work closely with medical teams across different newborn services.
The post holder will have access to a Specialist NHS Commissioning Database (BadgerNet) and the Hospital's Patient Administration System (Oasis/Cerner). The BadgerNet database is used by Newborn Services for commissioning purposes.

Main duties of the job
* Provide accurate and timely data for SCBU and Transitional Care activities, with knowledge of the relevant programmes.
* Ensure adequate supplies of stationery in all Paediatric clinical areas, reducing duplication and being cost-effective.
* Participate as a team member in the smooth day-to-day operational management of SCBU.
* Provide data interpretation to other specialists.
* Liaise with external agencies (CQUIN, Dashboard, NHS England) on behalf of the Trust.

Job responsibilities
* As a super user, manage the BadgerNet database for SCBU and transitional care.
* Support, train, and generate passwords for staff to access the BadgerNet database.
* Provide thorough analysis of specific unit activity.
* Attend Surrey and Sussex BadgerNet Network meetings, SCBU, and Neonatal Unit Steering Group (NSUG) meetings.
* Continuously update knowledge and training, and maintain adequate supplies of Paediatric stationery using SBS, keeping costs minimal.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of General Education.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in technical competence.
* Training in Neonatal Network Healthcare data, audits, and statistics analysis.
Knowledge and Experience
* Previous NHS experience in an acute setting.
* Knowledge of Neonatal unit activities appropriate to the level of the unit.
* Knowledge of Specialist Programmes (BadgerNet) and Surrey Safe Care (Cerner).
* Previous administrative experience in the specialty area.
* Proficiency in Word and Excel at an intermediate level.

Salary: £27,857 to £30,570 per annum, pro-rata.
