We're seeking a Team Manager to enhance our community mental health social care offer within the integrated working-age adults mental health services. What will be expected from me? We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Team Managers to manage our social care employees within working age adult mental health teams that are based across the district. The post holders will be responsible for the effective day to day delivery, management of resources and staff employed by Wakefield Council working alongside a Trust team manager. The successful candidates will have excellent communication and engagement skills with a commitment to improving service delivery. To ensure that we achieve our goals for improvement in service quality and delivery we are looking to recruit candidates of a high calibre that shares our passion for delivering excellent service user care and who can respond to the challenge of working within integrated care systems delivering high quality social care and health to adults across the district. We are looking for individuals with proven experience in delivery of services within adult social care. You'll be confident in building trusted relationships with people at all levels. We expect you to bring professional expertise in the fields of relevant legislation, national policy and initiative, best practice developments and performance standards and meeting the statutory responsibility of the council. What I might be doing? To work in line with any operational procedures set up for the team. Provide leadership, effective management, and support to social care staff within a specialised mental health service. Manage the social care workload and performance of the Team, support staff to deliver integrated, high-quality services that meet service objectives and priorities and targets of the council. The allocation of work to staff (according to priorities) and responsibility for the management of work that is not allocated. Quality control and quality assurance. Complaints investigation and resolution. Manage and monitor devolved budgets. To ensure that staff operate within statutory requirements, council and directorate policies and procedures. To ensure that services offer equal opportunities to all service users and employees and that diversity within the service is encouraged and promoted. To work with Service Managers and other managers and employees both in the council and SWYPFT to develop the service and meet objectives and targets. To work collaboratively with other team managers, to be collectively responsible for the work and objectives of the service area and to cover for colleagues when necessary. Why Wakefield Council?
