As a Payroll Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting our finance function. You'll ensure our staff are paid accurately and on time, support pension and HMRC compliance, and assist with wider finance administration, including invoicing, reconciliations, and audit support.
This is more than just a back-office role, your work directly supports the people delivering patient care every day.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing and processing monthly payroll for staff across the Alliance.
* Maintaining accurate records for starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
* Administering NHS Pension contributions, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Assisting with accounts payable, receivable, and invoicing processes.
* Supporting financial audits, reporting, and BACS payments.
* Responding to payroll and finance queries promptly and professionally.
* Providing resilience and support to the wider finance team.
What we're looking for
* Experience in payroll processing and finance administration.
* Strong IT and Excel skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
* A team player with great communication skills and a professional, proactive approach.
* Knowledge of NHS payroll or finance systems is an advantage, but not essential.
