Job Purpose: To assist in the day to day running of the coffee shop, creating an attractive and friendly, customer focused eating environment.
Main Duties
1. To greet customers when they enter or leave the coffee shop and assist them with any needs they may have. To deliver and maintain the highest standard of customer service.
2. To take food and drink orders maintaining accuracy at all times, particularly regarding use of the till.
3. To ensure that drinks and food are prepared and served to a high standard and continually monitor own performance in respect of this.
4. To be jointly responsible in ensuring the coffee shop, working area behind counter & toilets are clean and presentable at all times, carrying out cleaning as necessary in order to provide a secure and safe environment.
5. To be jointly responsible with colleagues working at that time for clearing away tables and washing dishes.
6. To use own initiative whilst working in order to use time effectively, helping with kitchen duties if needed e.g. washing up of cooking pots, pans, utensils etc.
7. Attend training courses as required and assist in the training of other catering staff as required.
8. Comply with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Fire regulations and other company policies.
9. To work flexibly as part of the team according to the needs of the business and our customers.
10. Work in and with the Kitchen Team as required to ensure a high standard of customer service and smooth running of the coffee shop are maintained at all times.
11. You may also be required to perform other tasks as necessary. You will be expected to welcome this opportunity to support your colleagues and carry out these tasks as per the relevant job descriptions.
