Join to apply for the One Stop - Customer Service Assistant role at One Stop Stores Ltd. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same. You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. You will be focused on improving service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, and ensuring the store remains a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Know and serve customers with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to work safely and effectively.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the part you play in delivering profit.
* Live our values, be welcoming, and follow store policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organized store environment; keep aisles clear.
* Occasionally run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Complete all required training to keep yourself and others safe and compliant.

If this store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day Post Office operations. You will be required to undertake a Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check; passing is required to proceed with this role. If checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
