Deli/Hot Food Team Leader Summary of Role: As Team Leader, you will manage all aspects of the Deli/Hot Food and bakery service within the Kenny's Foodfare Randalstown store. Hours: 6am to 3pm (5 shifts per week - Monday to Saturday). Working Saturday on a rota basis. Your role will be to: Deliver an excellent customer experience through your flair and expertise to provide a well-stocked, clean and attractive deli, hot food and bakery offering on a daily basis. Work closely with your team in delivering excellent customer service and support in line with Kennys Policies and Procedures while embracing the Kennys values of: Respect, Loyalty, Ownership, Teamwork & Honesty. Ensure the highest level of cleanliness (both front and back) is maintained at all times. Actively manage the enforcement of all legislative demands/standards of health, hygiene and safety in the day to day management of your team. Allocate daily work duties to other members of the deli/hot food team to ensure all duties are completed while maintaining a high quality service at all times. Effectively manage stock rotation, wastage and record/dispose of all wastage items following the Company Procedure. Develop and mentor your team in all aspects of the deli/hot food counter Essential Skills for Team Leaders: Hot food / deli team leader or manager experience in busy retail site Experience in managing and organising a small team, Proven track record in cooking and preparing menus for hot food /deli outlets Experience of training and mentoring new staff A working knowledge of HACCP policies, allergens and health and hygiene documentation Level 2 Food hygiene certificate Extremely customer focused Desirable Level 3 Food and hygiene certificate Experience of menu planning and costing Skills: Hot Food, Food preparation Deli Cooking Stock Management
