Key responsibilities for the Sales Manager:
* Generate new business opportunities, upsell and cross-sell consultancy services
* Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to exceed performance expectations
* Consistently achieve and exceed challenging sales targets aligned with growth goals
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through meetings, events, and presentations
* Represent sales at senior meetings and support strategy delivery with the Director
* Manage sales budgets, pipeline, forecasts, and reporting
* Oversee CRM processes, ensuring accurate pipeline and activity data
* Collaborate with marketing to shape campaigns and provide market insights
* Act as an ambassador at events, exhibitions, and industry forums
* Support proposition and pricing strategy development with competitive market insights
* Ensure high standards in proposals, presentations, and client communications
Skills and Experience required for the Sales Manager:
* Proven sales management experience within energy, technical services, or consultancy
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a small team
* Proven track record in consultative, solution-based sales
* Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, confident presenting to groups
* Skilled in creating and executing sales plans aligned to strategic objectives
* Commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and developing pricing strategies
* Comfortable working in fast-changing markets and launching into new sectors
* Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities
* Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office (Excel/Word essential, advanced Excel desirable)
* Full clean driving licence
