Salary: £47k - £53k (dependent upon skills and experience)
Equans invites experienced M&E professionals to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the education sector. We're looking for a motivated M&E Building Services Supervisor to lead operations across two large secondary schools as part of our Barking Schools contract.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading a skilled M&E team to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance to high standards.
* Ensuring all tasks are completed in line with contract KPIs, SLAs, and client expectations.
* Coordinating work schedules, assigning jobs, and managing priorities efficiently.
* Supporting emergency call-out rota and out-of-hours planning.
* Ordering materials, managing stock, and ensuring accurate job reporting and documentation.
* Liaising directly with school staff and the client to build strong, collaborative relationships.
* Identifying additional works, estimating costs, and supporting ongoing contract improvements.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
* A recognised electrical or mechanical trade qualification (minimum Level 3).
* Experience supervising teams within building services or facilities maintenance.
* A hands-on approach with strong leadership and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in IT (Excel, Outlook, Word); Maximo experience a bonus.
* A flexible, solutions-focused mindset.
* You must be eligible to work in the UK and able to pass an enhanced DBS check (due to school-based work).
