Based in central London and established in 2007 by directors Andy Heyne, Mark Tillett and Tom Steel, the practice now has over 180 people. We are currently work on exciting and innovative projects throughout the UK for many of the leading developers and architects.

About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Director level Civil Engineering professional to lead and grow our Civil Engineering team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong technical expertise with leadership ability, and who is keen to play a key role in the continued development of a supportive and welcoming team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate civil engineering design activities
* Work closely with the Structures Director and London Civils Management on project delivery
* Act as a client-facing representative, developing and maintaining strong working relationships
* Lead civils business development through work winning, fee proposals and bid submissions
* Oversee technical quality, standards and regulatory compliance across project delivery
* Support the financial management of projects, including resource planning and team performance monitoring
Ideal Candidate
* Proven leadership and technical experience within civil engineering design teams
* Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams
* Commercial awareness, with experience in business development and bid support
* Sound understanding of technical standards, quality assurance and regulatory requirements
* Strong organisational and financial management skills, including resource planning and team performance monitoring
* Proactive, professional and confident in a leadership role
