Role Overview
This role involves setting up the Catheter Lab with the Cardiac Services Manager to provide a specialist service to patients requiring diagnostic and interventional procedures, which are invasive and require monitoring of the patient's condition and nursing care accordingly. You will act as a scrub nurse to Consultant Cardiologists and undertake a range of angiography procedures including coronary angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, and pacemaker implantation. You will also provide clinical leadership within the Cardiology service and ensure accurate clinical records are maintained in accordance with professional, statutory, and organizational guidelines, providing clinical supervision as required.
Candidate Requirements
1. Be an RGN with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the Cardiology setting.
2. Have completed the ENB998 Teaching & Assessing Course or equivalent.
3. Have valid NMC Registration & Pin.
4. Be committed to delivering the highest standard of care.
5. Be flexible, reliable, and motivated.
